Boulo Solutions is sourcing candidates for a growing company in the eastern portion of Birmingham, AL looking to hire a Buyer to join their team. We are seeking a self-motivated, critical-thinking buyer who is ready to make a meaningful impact to the short- and longterm financial success for the company. The buyer will own all inventory responsibilities for assigned vendor accounts as a part of the Sales Generation team. They will also create action-aimed reports, research and analyze data for greater results, manage inventory virtually to improve in three main areas: profitability, availability, and efficiency. The role can be trained, so if you love analyzing data and understand Excel, Sequel and Microsoft Power BI this could be a good fit for you!

 Responsibilities
• Engages with the purchasing and sales teams to achieve sales goals and profitable sales growth with the company.
• Assists in developing and troubleshooting the replenishment strategy to create a more accurate forecast and efficiency.
• Maintains, measures, and tracks all inventory, both inbound, in stock, and outgoing for assigned vendor(s).
• Creates, maintains and follows through on purchase orders to meet demand and increase forecast accuracy.
• Manages aging and excess inventory with vendor returns and sales support for assigned vendor(s).
• Analyzes inventory and out-of-stock to identify key opportunities to maximize profitability and future demand.
• Executes daily reporting and maintenance to adhere to transparency standards.
• Confirms all aspects of purchase orders and confirmations with vendors and the company.
• Ensures the team has most current and accurate information to communicate with accounts and preferred contacts or portals.
• Assists with the day to day operations in Purchasing.
• Assists with company inbound product and pricing information maintenance in the database.
• Coordinates with all departments and vendor(s) to facilitate accuracy of item database.
• Works with Accounting, Receiving, and Inventory Control to clear any discrepancies in receiving, payments, invoicing, returns or exceptions.
• Identifies and solves supply chain issues, including data audits for inventory integrity.
• Assists all areas of compny with any needed help as assigned by leadership.

Requirements
• 1-2 years of supply chain, purchasing, business, sales, analytics, or related field (internships count!) 
•Business degree from an accredited four-year university preferred, or equivalent work experience (new and upcoming grads please apply!) 
• Advanced experience with analytics, data management, reporting and queries (SQL a plus)
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Works well under pressure and responds to urgent requests with necessary balance to provide solutions while maintaining healthy workflow boundaries and meeting deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Fast-paced work ethic with a high emphasis on holistic quality
