Institutional Business Development (Hedge Fund)

Institutional Business Development (Hedge Fund) | Remote

Absolute return hedge fund seeks business development professional with industry relationships and in-depth knowledge of institutional sector to join asset-raising team. Firm will provide access to high-profile industry conferences/events for networking and knowledge acquisition.
 
Responsibilities:
Establish/sustain robust relationships with pivotal institutional stakeholders including pension funds/endowments, foundations, and family offices
Continually assess market variables/competitor strategies/industry advancements to optimally position funds
Design/articulate compelling presentations to convey value proposition/investment strategies to potential clients
Efficiently manage due diligence process; ensure timely responses to client queries; provide required documentation
Serve as primary contact for clients; manage needs/concerns with utmost professionalism
Collaborate with senior management to formulate/execute sales strategies targeting prospective clients
Regularly evaluate/report on client relationship metrics; ensure meticulous records within CRM
Ensure all client communications/engagements adhere strictly to regulatory/industry standards
Work with research/portfolio management to create marketing materials (fund fact sheets/investor letters)
Represent fund at conferences/seminars/investor meetings, and use these platforms for networking/client acquisition
Facilitate communication between clients and investment team; ensure client feedback is relayed/addressed
Collaborate with operations/portfolio teams to ensure punctual/accurate delivery of investor reports/updates
Offer constructive feedback to product development based on investor queries/market trends; help refine investment offerings
 
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance/business/related; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
CFA and/or CAIA would be a plus
Proven experience raising assets from institutional clients in asset management sector and extensive network of connections with institutional decision-makers; comprehensive knowledge of financial industry/investment products/market trends, including familiarity with hedge fund products/strategies
Outstanding communications/presentation skills; advanced interpersonal skills with ability to gauge/understand client needs; proficiency with relevant software and investor databases; capacity to operate independently/within team; unwavering commitment to integrity/professionalism/ethical conduct
 
The base salary is flexible depending on candidate experience and track record, but we expect it to be approximately $125-150,000. Additionally, there is an uncapped commission structure in place.
