Alternative investment adviser/fund manager seeks Operations Due Diligence professional with experience in an operational/control capacity at a hedge fund/private equity fund/fund of funds/prime broker/accounting firm; should understand post-trade execution processes, investment valuation/accounting, cash controls, regulatory/compliance matters, and counterparty risk management.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with hedge fund/private equity managers to conduct virtual/onsite due diligence meetings with the goal of assessing/evaluating the manager’s operational risks and adherence to industry operational best practices
Complete operational due diligence reports
Identify/monitor operational and/or regulatory changes impacting the alternative investment industry
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree; concentration in accounting or finance preferred
2-5 years of experience in operations / operational due diligence in a relevant HF/PE setting
Strong multi-tasking skills; detail-orientation; ability to collaborate with colleagues and meet internal/client deadlines; strong writing/communication skills
Some travel may be required
Target base salary for this role, determined by various factors including but not limited to skillset, experience level, and location is estimated at $140-165k per year plus discretionary bonus.
