Finance Manager

Finance Manager | Remote (Austin, TX / Hybrid) | $200-250k

Established crypto investment platform/asset management firm ($1B+ in AUM across digital assets, DeFi, Web3, Layer 1 blockchains, infrastructure, related companies) seeks Finance Manager with strategic/entrepreneurial mindset for role incorporating fund accounting, trading/portfolio operations, and management company finance. Firm is based in Austin, TX but the Finance Manager can work remotely with regular travel to Austin (monthly; less as needed). Must have prior hands-on experience in crypto accounting/trade operations beyond Bitcoin/Ethereum.

Responsibilities:
Cryptocurrency trade processing including vesting schedules/portfolio operations for various cryptocurrencies within exchanges/wallets/custodians
Stay ahead of changing financial reporting landscape (staking, airdrops, DAOs, blockers, etc.) 
Work closely with senior management/investment team/third party vendors
Fund financial operations: execution of crypto trade operations, portfolio operations, vesting schedules, valuation 
Review of purchase agreements, SAFTs, TPAs, and SAFEs for valuation/reporting
Drive monthly financial reporting/quarter-end closing for several investment entities
Collaborate with finance team to create valuation memos monthly/quarterly
Monitor weekly liquidity management and capital requirements; provide investment team with financial information needed to evaluate trade strategies; work with finance team to coordinate audit related inputs
Lead production of financial information required for RIA filing requirements
Work alongside Director of Finance to produce monthly financial executive summary report for Leadership team, summarizing end of month net assets/revenue/capital flows
Manage cash flow/bill pay and budgets/projections for various entities
Update financial models and provide ad-hoc financial analysis
Ensure financial reporting is in compliance with appropriate GAAP standards/regulatory requirements
Proactively identify control gaps and build processes/controls around them
Partner cross-functionally on major new projects/fund vehicles/initiatives for smooth launches
Manage engagements with accounting/legal/tax partners across international structure to ensure compliance and tax returns are submitted in a timely manner

Requirements:
6+ years of experience in relevant investment setting with hands-on experience in crypto accounting/trade operations; audit and/or fund administration experience a plus
Strong familiarity with cryptocurrencies/digital assets required; passion for industry a plus
Bachelor's degree in accounting; understanding of GAAP rules and regulations; CPA preferred
Strong accounting/analytical and computer skills; diligent/hard-working/incredibly reliable; excellent attention to detail/ability to multi-task, interpersonal/oral/written communication skills
