Job Title: Team Lead
The Team Lead shall be responsible for overseeing the complete distribution operations and the resource allocation in the warehouse operations at our client on a daily basis. These duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Compliance with the standards and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of the work environment,
- Resource management (ensuring real time replacement of operational heads daily)
- Ensuring the day-to-day processes and procedures are followed exactly as defined and the necessary corrective actions taken where there is a deviation from this policy.
- Liaising with Internal and External parties to communicate any information related to the distribution and warehouse.
- Creating and maintaining work and vacation schedules for team members, to ensure maximum availability of resources to meet company and client requirements.
- Visiting customers to investigate service quality issues and solve customer complaints related to distribution teams.
- Leading the daily operational cycle, load assignment, and dispatch of personnel and resources across the distribution cycle.
- In conjunction with the routing instructions execute the planning and scheduling of all distribution resources.
- Contribute to the development of the Delivery Service Level Agreement and Warehouse Service Level Agreement, through assigned liaison persons.
- Conducting Performance Appraisals for direct reports, ongoing daily management of performance and disciplinary matters liaising/escalating to HR as required.
- Manage all items as it relates to compensation of their respective teams.
- Provide required reporting at the agreed timelines.
- Performing other reasonable job-related duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications/Experience
- A BSc/BA in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management or related discipline or Certification in Supervisory Management coupled with 3 - 5 years’ experience supervising or managing in a Logistics Warehousing / Distribution environment.
