The Business & Employment Centre is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to fill the role of BARTENDER on behalf of its client. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a high level of service excellence in a busy restaurant environment.
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensure that the bar is stocked prior to shift start.
- Coordinate with restaurant personnel.
- Greet guests in a timely manner.
- Present bar menu list to guests providing detailed information on menu items
- Make suggestions for beverages as required.
- Execute beverage orders.
- Mix and serve drinks following standard recipes.
- Mix traditional and creative alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Follow proper alcohol handling, sanitation and safety procedures.
- Report any service related issues to the Restaurant Supervisor.
- Report any hazards to the Restaurant Supervisor immediately.
- Follow Health and Safety, Food Handling and HACCP guidelines at all times.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as deemed necessary by Management.
- Any other related duty assigned by the Management.
Skills, Abilities and Qualifications
- Completion of mixology, barkeeping or other related training
- Minumum of 3 CXC's inclusive of Mathematics and English
- Minimum two (2) years’ proven experience.
- Possess a valid Police Certificate of Character.
- Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices.
