The Business & Employment Centre is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to fill the role of BARTENDER on behalf of its client. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a high level of service excellence in a busy restaurant environment.

Duties and responsibilities

Ensure that the bar is stocked prior to shift start.
Coordinate with restaurant personnel.
Greet guests in a timely manner.
Present bar menu list to guests providing detailed information on menu items
Make suggestions for beverages as required.
Execute beverage orders.
Mix and serve drinks following standard recipes.
Mix traditional and creative alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Follow proper alcohol handling, sanitation and safety procedures.
Report any service related issues to the Restaurant Supervisor.
Report any hazards to the Restaurant Supervisor immediately.
Follow Health and Safety, Food Handling and HACCP guidelines at all times.
Attend meetings and training sessions as deemed necessary by Management.
Any other related duty assigned by the Management.

Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

Completion of mixology, barkeeping or other related training
Minumum of 3 CXC's inclusive of Mathematics and English
Minimum two (2) years’ proven experience.
Possess a valid Police Certificate of Character.
Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices.
