The Business and Employment Centre is recruiting for the role of Sales Representative for one of its clients.  The role will be responsible for all sales activities in assigned accounts or areas, and will manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery.  The successful candidate will be at the forefront of expanding market share by finding and engaging referrals, networking and cold calling.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Continual analysis of the performance of your retailers to determine growth opportunities
  2. Meeting and exceeding sales goals
  3. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned and follow up on new leads and referrals.
  4. Communicating new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or market research gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  5. Collaborating with company staff to execute the work required to close sales.
  6. Establishing and maintain current client and potential client relationships; handle inquires and complaints
  7. Managing account services through quality checks, other follow-ups and identify and resolve client concerns.
  8. Participating in weekly sales team meetings.
  9. Preparing weekly and monthly reports
  10. Collecting and following up on customers regarding outstanding payments
  11. Assisting in developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge.
  12. Assisting with developing and implementing special sales activities to reduce over stocked items.
  13. Responsible for such other duties and assignments which the Company deems appropriate.
 
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Participating in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
  2. Following up for collection of payment/ monitor customer accounts so they can know payment is required before account is closed.
  3. Assisting with providing on-the-job training to new sales employees.
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  1. A proven track record in sales and expressed understanding of the sales process
  2. A minimum of 5 CXC/GCE O’Levels, which must include English and Mathematics
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  4. At least 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity
  5. Motivated, flexible and ability to use own initiative.
  6. Strong problem solving skills
  7. Must be computer literate and proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  8. Ability to demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge.
  9. Must be a team player
  10. Valid driver’s license
