The Business and Employment Centre is seeking to recruit a diligent inventory management professional to fill the position of Inventory Clerk on behalf of its client. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the management and distribution of merchandise across the client’s various sales outlets.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Liaising with all distributors and making orders to restock the Convenience Store.
Ensuring that shelves are always stocked.
Ensuring that Shelf-talkers are in place and correspond directly with the items displayed on the shelves.
Tracking stock to effectively make orders.
Entering invoices into accounting software to update inventory.
tracking expiry dates of the stock and reporting to management in a timely manner.
Liaising with Office Supervisor before making an order.
Creating and updating lists/spreadsheets to keep track of vendors, the stock ordered from each vendor and retail prices of said stock.
Updating “Deli Payment Tracker” to assist with making the correct payments for these vendors on a bi-weekly basis.
Entering information to assist with the accounting of the Company.
ssisting staff as needed to replenish day-to-day items.
Keeping stock room clean and organized at all times.
Assisting with the cashier and service ambassador duties as needed.
Performing any other related functions.
Knowledge, skills and abilities: • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related field. • Ability to take initiative and work independently • Good command of the English Language • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Proficient written, oral and interpersonal communication skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure • Meticulous and task-oriented, with a keen eye for detail • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or in a self-managed environment as projects/tasks require
