The Business & Employment Centre is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Driver to provide effective office support for all transport related services to its client.
The client owns a vehicle which is used for providing all required transport activities on a daily basis. The Driver will be responsible for ensuring that these services are carried out as required, under the instructions of the Regional Manager of the branch.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Updates the log book of vehicle use on daily basis for proper recording of mileage;
- Collection and delivery of official mail as may be directed by office staff;
- Transportation services for Bank staff, visitors and other personnel as may be required;
- Ensure constant safety of the vehicle’s road worthiness by carrying out daily checks
- Report periodic servicing needs of the vehicle in advance to ensure its proper handling;
- Ensures that the vehicle is clean all the time;
- Ensures safe keeping of vehicle accessories e.g., Jack, first aid kit, etc.
- Ensure that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of an accident.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Skills, Knowledge, Attitude:
- Minimum of High School Qualification
- Valid and accident-free driving license
- At least five (5) years’ work experience as a driver, with a safe driving record
- Proven qualifications in safe driving
- Good command of English. Knowledge of another common local language is an added advantage; and
- Good knowledge of the country map and its routes.
