Clinical Associate – Pediatric General Surgery Opportunity

Eastern Health invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant, Pediatric General Surgery of the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre.

The Clinical Assistant will be responsible to the Divisional Chief and will see patients in the Emergency Room to complete supervised surgical consults, do ward coverage including histories and physicals for individual patients, and assist in the operating room. Attendance at rounds and night and weekend calls is also required

Qualifications:          

Previous surgical experience is preferred by not necessary however all candidates must be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.

This is a Permanent Position

Remuneration:          

This is a permanent position with salary and benefits to be paid in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.  Salary is based on the Family Physician scale ranging from $158,922 -$189,243 based on years of clinical experience in addition to an annual retention bonus ($2,500 - $7,500) and an annual on-call bonus of $3,750.  Health and medical benefits are provided along with leave and RRSP contributions.
