Chronic Pain - Anesthesia (BH-360)

The Saint John, NB area is actively seeking a Chronic Pain Specialist Anesthesiologist. You will play a crucial role in our commitment to improving the quality of life for patients suffering from chronic pain. You will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing pain-related conditions, and implementing a variety of interventions to alleviate pain and improve patients' overall well-being. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in a state-of-the-art medical facility.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with chronic pain conditions.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Administer a range of pain management procedures, including nerve blocks, epidurals, and spinal cord stimulation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A medical degree is required.
  • Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or American Board Certification in Anesthesiology; In circumstances where no qualified Canadian trained applicants are available, equivalent certification may be considered as long as they qualify for licensure in the Province of New Brunswick. 
  • The candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick. 
  • Skills and experience in pain
  • Fellowship or additional training in pain is considered an asset but not required
