The Saint John, NB area is actively seeking an Occupational Medicine Physician to join their team in New Brunswick. As an Occupational Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in promoting the health and safety of our workforce while ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations and best practices.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Conduct medical evaluations for workers exposed to occupational hazards.

  • Diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses.

  • Develop and implement occupational health programs and policies.

  • Provide expert advice on workplace safety and health regulations.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize employee health.

  • Conduct fitness-for-duty assessments and return-to-work evaluations.

  • Advise on the management of disability and workers' compensation cases.

  • Participate in educational and training programs for employees and management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A medical degree is required.

  • Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or American Board Certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty in Occupational medicine; In circumstances where no qualified Canadian trained applicants are available, equivalent certification may be considered as long as they qualify for licensure in the Province of New Brunswick. 

  • The candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
