POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Our client in the Moncton, New Brunswick area is actively seeking a full-time seeking a passionate and dedicated Developmental Pediatrician to join their dynamic team in New Brunswick. As a Developmental Pediatrician, you will play a crucial role in providing expert medical care and guidance to children with developmental and behavioral challenges. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and their families.

JOB DUTIES:
These responsibilities are basic. Additional duties may be assigned from time to time as may be necessary to the operation:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of pediatric patients with developmental and behavioral concerns.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, therapists, and educators, to create individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing medical management and follow-up care to patients.
  • Educate and support families in understanding and managing their child's developmental issues.
  • Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of developmental pediatrics.
  • Participate in research and educational activities as applicable.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A medical degree is required.
  • Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or American Board Certification in Pediatrics with subspecialty in Developmental Pediatrics; In circumstances where no qualified Canadian trained applicants are available, equivalent certification may be considered as long as they qualify for licensure in the Province of New Brunswick. 
  • Candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
  • Proficiency in English is required. Bilingual skills would be considered an asset.
  • In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • Good attendance and work record.
  • Physically able to perform assigned duties.
