Chamberlain Advisors is currently seeking Associate Construction Project Managers (Junior-Post-Collegiate Level) for our client in the Design-Build for Financial Institutions industry. This is a Direct Hire position. The Post-Collegiate Level Associate Construction Project Manager will follow a rigorous training computer-based and hands-on/"field"-based training program which requires a wide variety of technical skills, professional skills & a broad knowledge and understanding of architecture, engineering, & construction. The PM is responsible for planning and overseeing a specific project or a wide range of projects with varying degrees of complexity from beginning to end. What You Will Be Accountable For:
Supports the construction management process with the Senior and Mid Level Construction Project Managers as follows:
Create early comparable estimates for proposed projects utilizing cost data from comparable projects of similar scope & scale.
Act as the GC handling the RFP process with subcontractors from vetting to approval.
Collaborate with the design team and provide construction perspective on the design.
Ensure and identify areas needing discussion and direction on architectural and construction plans and assure that design aligns with project budget.
Create Basis of Design (BOD) that documents and outlines the scope of the project.
Creates schedules and reviews progress plans for adherence to the budget throughout the project.
Problem solves any issues relating to design, schedule, and budget.
Assist Project Coordinators as needed to contact subcontractors in proximity to project location to gauge subcontractor interest and qualify potential subcontractors.
Travel to project site(s) or manage meetings virtually as needed with subcontractors, to review job progress, verify quality and compliance. .
Follows up on warranty issues.
Performs punch list walkthrough with design team and final punch list walk with Owner and documents list in Procore.
What Qualifications You Need:
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related Construction type field
Practical experience gained through internships, entry-level positions, or other relevant work in the construction industry preferred.
Ability to work with GCs/Subcontractors to include bidding, proposals and finalization
Experience with Construction Project Management Software helpful(Procore preferred but not required) (Blubeam, Fieldwire, etc)
Intermediate ability and skill with MS Office products (Excel, MS Project, Outlook)
High skill level in written an verbal communication
