Location:  Mundelein, IL (On-site 5 days per week)
Terms/Type:  Full-time/Direct Hire

Chamberlain Advisors is currently seeking Desktop Technician for our client in the IT Consulting Industry.  As a Desktop Technician you will be required to maintain several assigned clients' I.T. needs and day-to-day relationships. What You’ll Be Accountable For:
  • Report to client sites or work from the Mundelein office to remote into client systems.
  • Resolve small user issues and other computer configuration needs (Change passwords, Install software, etc.)
  • Resolve Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) Issues.
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance onsite, via phone, or electronically.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Research questions using available information resources.
  • Log all help desk interactions.
  • Redirect problems to appropriate resources.
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Track and route problems, requests, and document resolutions.
  • Assist clients in maintaining and improving all aspects of their technology including desktops, laptops, hardware, software and more.
  • Setup, configuration and deployment of desktop/laptop hardware and software.
What Qualifications You Need:
  • Experience and ability to work with PC hardware and software (Windows 10/11). (Required)
  • Familiarity and experience with MS Office. (Required)
  • Familiarity and experience with Anti-virus software. (Required)
    • Running Anti-virus programs (Required)
    • Running Rootkit Scans (Preferred)
    • Configuring Software (Preferred)
  • Familiarity or experience with Multi-factor Authentication tools. (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting applications. (Preferred)
  • Proficiency with Mobile Devices is a plus.
  • Proficiency with PC imaging is a plus.
  • A willingness to show initiative to learn and grow in the IT field. (Required)
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. (Required)
  • Have the ability to pivot as needed/think outside the box and not be bogged down in rigid structure or procedure.
