Title: Field Sales Representative (Commercial Roofing) 
Location: Dallas, TX 
Reports to: Head of Sales 

Chamberlain Advisors is currently seeking a Field Sales Representative for our direct client, a private equity backed commercial roofing installation & replacement company.   

Ideal Candidate Profile 

The ideal candidate for this role is highly driven and ambitious and enthusiastic about engaging in face-to-face field sales interactions with customers. Previous experience in roofing sales is not required; however, candidates should have a strong commercial sales background and demonstrate analytical skills for accurately diagnosing issues and scoping sales appropriately. Honesty and integrity are essential qualities that align with the company's core values. 

The company will provide training in roofing knowledge and offers a strong sales training program with advanced playbooks. 

**“Storm chasers” and those with a fear of heights will not be the right fit for this role.

What You Will Be Accountable For

Full Cycle Commercial Roofing Sales. As a Field Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in the full cycle of commercial roofing sales. This includes engaging with leads, meeting clients, and visiting roofs to conduct sampling. Your analytical skills will be crucial in diagnosing and identifying the true source of problems, ensuring you don't over scope. You will need to assess different configurations for the roof, take core samples, gather all necessary information to provide accurate estimates for the clients, provide a bid and close the sale. In the absence of marketing leads, you may need to proactively generate leads. You will need to be responsible for your own follow-through efforts to take a sale from lead to completion.  

Client Engagement and Communication. Building trust and maintaining strong relationships with customers is essential. You will be responsible for effectively communicating with customers. Performing in-person follow-ups, sending fair and timely proposals, and maintaining regular contact throughout the sales process will be crucial for customer satisfaction and trust-building. Candidates will need to show up in-person for customers, rather than primarily relying on emails.  

Internal Reporting. As a Field Sales Representative, you will also be responsible for internal reporting and documentation. This includes filling out work orders accurately and promptly after closing a sale, as well as inputting all necessary information into the production folder. Additionally, you will collaborate with project managers and repair technicians when projects are in progress, addressing any change orders that arise and seeking timely customer approval.
