Consilio seeks a Civil Litigation attorney to assist a Legal Aid team in Baltimore. This assignment will focus primarily on working with individuals in civil legal matters including landlord-tenant, family law, consumer law, child support, employment, child custody, and more. The candidate will be drafting pleadings and motions, preparing for trial, conducting depositions, completing court forms and documents and more. This is a temporary role that will require on-site work at a Legal Aid office in Baltimore, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Requirements:
2 - 5 years of demonstrated substantive experience with civil litigation
Experience drafting discovery, trial prep, depositions, legal research & writing
Desire to help people in a Legal Aid setting
Ability to work on-site, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm in Baltimore
Juris Doctorate Degree from ABA-accredited institution
Must be Maryland barred, active and in good standing
Estimated duration of 4 months - 1 year, with the potential to turn into a permanent position for the right candidate
