Legal Aid Attorney - Maryland

LOD/ Consilio is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney. This is a contract opportunity that is ONSITE.

 

Job Details:

• Location: Glen Burnie, Maryland
• Duration: 4 months to 1 year, chance to go perm
• Full-time: 40 hours a week (8:30am - 4:30pm M-F)
• Start Date: April 2024

 

Ideal Candidate

• Experience with civil law and litigation
• Ability to work with individuals on civil legal matters, including landlord-tenant, family law, consumer, child support, criminal record expungements, employment, and child custody.
• Providing legal advice on the civil legal matters noted above
• Drafting pleadings and motions, preparing for trial, taking and/or defending depositions, completing court forms, filings, and other documents
• Legal research and writing
• This position will involve direct representation of individual clients and the attorney should enjoy people and a public-facing role

 

Requirements:

• Must be actively licensed to practice law in the USA.
• Capability to work remotely with a larger team.

 

The hourly range for this position is approximately $30 to $35 per hour. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
