Prior Authorization Pharmacist

HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Prior Authorization Pharmacist to fill an opening with a Fortune 500 Company in Oklahoma.

Daily Responsibilities for Prior Authorization Pharmacist:

The clinician will reference available resources to review prior authorization requests for clinical appropriateness across multiple plans.
The expectation for this role is to reach the goal of completing 140 cases per day (90%), with 95% quality.

Required Qualifications for Prior Authorization Pharmacist:

Bachelors in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred)
Clear and active Pharmacist license in Oklahoma
Board Certified in Oncology (must upload proof of certification with submittal)
2+ years of experience as a pharmacist in a MCO, PBM, retail, or specialty pharmacy setting (not looking for hospital pharmacists)
- STRONGLY prefer prior auth review experience from another MCO or PBM
Previous experience working with prior authorizations
Familiar with brand and generic drug names, pharmacy calculations, reading criteria, and medical chart notes
Strong tenure, will reject jumpy candidates
Ability to work from home - high speed internet, private work space, and smart phone
Computer skills, specifically experience with Script Med is preferred
- Outlook, Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, Excel

Pay Details: $60.00 - $64.50 an hour.
