Travel Surgical Technologist - CVOR - Operating Room (Days) - Mason City, Iowa
Position Overview:
Nurse’s Etc. Staffing, a veteran and minority owned staffing company is seeking multiple skilled and dedicated Travel Surgical Technologist for exciting Travel assignments in beautiful Mason City, Iowa.
Job Duties:
- Assists physician in performing invasive procedures
- Performs related radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging techniques to demonstrate catheter location, position, and document findings
- Scrubs in for handling guide wires, catheter, administering contrast injections (excluding CVOR Surgical Technologist), flushing catheters, and other scrub duties as assigned per specialty
- Performs pre-procedural patient care activities
- Monitors and records patient’s condition and procedures’ progress
- Retrieves and reviews patient data
- Prepares and maintains sterile field
- Operates and maintains clinical equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2 or more years surgical technologist experience required
- Iowa License - Required
- BLS, ACLS (AHA)
- Surgical Technologist license required
- Graduate of a surgical technologist program is required; or graduate of an LPN program with Surgical experience.
- Certification as a surgical technologist preferred. LPN license required if graduate of LPN program.
- Previous surgical technologist experience preferred.
- Demonstrates self-confidence, initiative, and high level of concentration.
- Demonstrates communication skills and promotes good working relationships with all members of the surgical team.
- Recognizes personal learning needs and follows through to gain new competencies.
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to meet departmental on call requirements
Schedule:
6:45 AM to 3:15 PM or 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
