Position Overview:
 
Nurse’s Etc. Staffing, a veteran and minority owned staffing company is seeking multiple skilled and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse for exciting Travel assignments in beautiful Newton, Iowa.

Job Duties:

Taking vitals for the mom and baby
Administering medication
Monitoring contractions
Identifying complications during labor and delivery
Communicating the mom’s condition and needs to the Physician
Coaching the mom during labor and delivery
Caring for the mom after she gives birth
Providing emotional support

Requirements: 

Quick decision-making skills to provide proper medical care
Excellent communication skills with patients and Physicians
Technological aptitude to operate medical equipment
Ability to establish rapport with patients quickly
Expertise in various medical procedures, including inserting IVs and taking vitals
Understanding of when to escalate the situation if medical intervention is necessary
Ability to handle emotionally difficult situations, such as stillbirths or complications
Iowa license
