Title:  Operations Supervisor

Location:  Baltimore, MD

Pay:  $115,000-$130,000 Salary – 22% Bonus – Relocation Assistance – Full Benefits

Schedule:  2x12 Hour and 2x8 Hour Rotating Shift – 40 hours worked a week

Job Description:

  • Ability to work rotating shift work as required to support the staffing of the facility
  • General knowledge of Power Plant equipment and materials, operating procedure and standards to properly maintain and enforce cost effective, safe and efficient Facility Operations is desired.
  • Strong leadership, oral and written communication and problem solving/decision making skills are a must.
  • As a leadership role, this person must be able to direct his team through mentoring and coaching to develop excellence in the operation of a Waste to Energy facility.
  • Delineate and enforce the safety and environmental procedures and policies for the Operations Department and other support teams.
  • Closely monitor the production and maintenance activities of the facility and assist in planning and executing both scheduled and unscheduled outage work as well as the timely completion of operating duties.
  • Confer with representatives of other departments in solving interrelated administrative, organizational and technical problems.
  • Approval of all requests for removing equipment from service for maintenance or other purposes, and for ensuring that the equipment is properly tagged and cleared in accordance with plant procedures.
  • Handle tools, equipment, fine motor skills
  • Access confined spaces and pressure vessels through standard 12" by 16" manways
  • While performing the duties of the job, frequent standing, walking, crouching, crawling and kneeling may be required. Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet
  • Other physical requirements include the ability to work in moderate extremes of temperature and humidity (hot or cold), work in confined spaces, work at elevations and wear a full-face respirator.
  • Operate fire extinguishing equipment ranging from handheld extinguishers to 200 lbs. portable units
  • Overtime may be necessary
