Job Description:
The individual will be responsible for conducting root cause analysis on equipment failures, generating unit and equipment performance improvements, applying performance test results and predictive maintenance results to accurately provide equipment health status in order to eliminate unplanned equipment failures. This position requires the ability to function as the technical lead for mechanical equipment operation, maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
Responsibilities include condition-assessment and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment such as pumps, turbines, air-heaters, boilers, economizers, fly-ash systems, and air-compressors. Development and execution of both short- and long-term solutions for this equipment to meet safety, environmental, reliability, and efficiency goals.
This individual will also be responsible for Capital and O&M projects, from conception to completion, under their areas of responsibility as well as performing a contract administration role when outside vendors are brought into complete work.
