Title: Power Plant Engineer
Location: Marion, IA
Pay: $120,000-$140,000 Base - $5,000-$10,000 Outage Pay – Relocation Assistance – 15% Bonus
Schedule: Flexible hours Monday – Friday – Up To 25% travel to plants in the area.

Job Description:
- Perform field inspections, field measurements and equipment walk downs, focusing on assessing Gas & Steam Turbines and associated equipment.
- Recommend changes in procedures, equipment, or materials as necessary to maintain and improve turbine performance, reduce O&M costs, and increase reliability.
- This position will help develop and lead steam turbine, gas turbine, and generator maintenance strategies.
- This team is responsible for the following: planning, scheduling, conducting major overhauls; planning and conducting large repetitive maintenance tasks; providing outage resource management; providing craft labor management and supervision; managing alliances.
- You will plan, direct, and implement large steam turbine, combustion turbine and generator outage maintenance and engineering projects in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
- Experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of generators, steam turbines or combustion turbines.
- Knowledge of the GT component management, repair, metallurgical mechanical and NDT assessment including failure of GT components.
- Project management skills, working knowledge of the electric and steam generation industry and any experience with power plant operations would be a plus
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - with an ability to communicate with a wide range of customers (engineers, plant management, finance, skilled laborers)
- Proven ability to use computer software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of AutoCad or similar programming is preferred.
