Title: IC&E Technician
Location: Manhattan, IL
Pay: $40-$45/Hour
Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift 3 Days On 3 Days Off 6am-6pm

This position is stationed on a 600+MW gas turbine power plant in the Manhattan area featuring digital automation equipment and a GE Mark controls system. This individual will primarily be responsible for the IC&E Maintenance at the facility and will also have the chance to operate the plant as well as mechanical maintenance. This position is also on a growth path to Operations & Maintenance Supervisor and will have the chance to take on additional responsibilities as desired.
Job Description:
- Maintain all Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical equipment associated with the operation of a gas turbine power plant.
- Calibrate pressure, level, flow, and temperature transmitters.
- Experience with CEMS gas analyzers and environmental compliance equipment a plus.
- Racking breakers up to 4160V.
- Able to read and interpret P&IDs
- Examine plant logic and work with OEM companies to communicate and troubleshoot any issues.
- Responsibilities will include full startup and shutdown of the plant when fully trained and dispatched.
- Perform mechanical maintenance on valves, pumps, and lube oil equipment as needed.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license.
- Make rounds at the plant to check for any abnormalities in equipment.
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets and track various parts and orders as needed.
- Maintain logs for plant equipment.
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, and good decision making skills.
- Capability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Ability to deal effectively with other team members.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office and other computer-based productivity tools.
- Performs repetitive and non-repetitive physical duties requiring lifting, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, climbing, working in awkward positions and lifting of up to 50 pounds.
