Pay:  $53/Hour – Pension Plant AND Matching 401(k) – Relocation Assistance

Schedule:  Monday – Friday 6am-2:30pm

Job Description:

  • Install, repair, maintain, and calibrate indicating and controlling digital and electronic instruments that measure and control process variables, such as pressure, flow, level, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition using hand tools and precision instruments.
  • Interpret technical documentation: data sheets, vendor manuals, troubleshooting flowcharts, etc. Interpret/ prepare technical drawings from simple schematics to complex P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, and PLC ladder logic diagrams.
  • Understand digital control systems and valves, transmitters and transducers.
  • Configure digital transmitters. Interpret data from advanced diagnostic programs for instrumentation.
  • Disassemble malfunctioning instruments, examine and test mechanism and circuitry for defects.
  • Troubleshoot equipment in or out of control loops and replace or repair defective parts.
  • Reassemble instruments, test and calibrate assembly for conformance with specifications using test instruments such as multimeters, manometers, smart communicators and pressure instruments.
  • Maintain and control spare parts inventory, and assist in budget planning and control.
  • Knowledge of medium voltage electrical equipment rated 480 volts through 5,000 volts.
  • Knowledge of 480 volt through 5,000 volt cable terminations and splices.
  • Knowledge of electrical components.
  • Inspect instruments periodically and make minor calibration adjustments to assure they are functioning within specified controlled variables.
