Proactively anticipate, identify, and respond to portfolio needs through analysis of key performance indicators, analysis of market factors, identifying income generating and cost reducing strategies, hands-on management of property level staff

Oversee capital improvement project.

Develop accurate and timely reports to internal and external partners

Analyze cash flow projections, asset valuations, risk analyses

Train regional property management staff (and at site level if necessary)

Proactively recruit new talent

Work closely with Accounting, Legal, HR, and other team members to optimize assets’ performance

Perform pre-acquisition analysis and due diligence, including review of financial and operational assumption.

Lead post-acquisition activities, such as onboarding teams and migrating assets onto Yardi software
-
Lead budget creation and analysis process
-
Negotiate with third parties, such as contractors and vendors
-
Serve as key reviewer in accounts payable/invoice review process

Perform market analysis, including comps analysis

Develop properties’ marketing strategies and oversee web-based presence
-
Monitor industry best practices and trends
-
Identify and address workplace safety concerns; know license and certification requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent in 10+ work years’ experience)
-
Minimum of 2 years of real estate asset management experience (with an emphasis in multi-family properties); regional property management experience preferred

Ability to travel frequently and work irregular hours

Basic knowledge of construction management

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Yardi PMS preferred

Highly developed verbal and written communication skills

Ability to prioritize assignments to meet numerous and dynamic deadlines

Ability to work independently and unsupervised, as well as part of a team

Proactive; strong analytical skills; and a creative problem solver

Ability to perform an assessment on Excel to demonstrate basic knowledge of Excel software and basic finance and accounting concepts
