Job Summary: The Finance Director, reporting to the CFO, is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting for our family of companies in The Woodlands, TX. This role involves strategic financial planning, team leadership, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligning with company objectives, leading the annual budgeting process and conducting financial analysis for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
  • Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, analyzing trends and variances, and communicating findings to the executive team.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and assess financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing recommendations on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing finance team, setting clear expectations and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technology, adapt to change, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, conduct financial analysis for optimization, and oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, including ad hoc financial modeling.
  • Manage CAPEX benchmarking, mergers and acquisitions activities, and contribute to the development of senior management reporting packages.
  • Oversee a team of 4-6 professionals, primarily at the manager level, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA a plus) with at least ten years of management experience in a similar role.
  • CPA or CFA designation preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Note: Bilingual candidates and those with Paycom experience are preferred but not mandatory.
