Senior Accounting

 

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for applying accounting concepts and principles to daily activities, analyzing financial information, preparing entries and reconciliations associated with LandCare’s financial reporting cycle.  This position will also assist with audits, budgets, and periodic forecasts.

Position Duties

• Timely and accurate preparation of all necessary journal entries as part of month-end close.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and account reconciliations.
• Review material account variances and provide financial analysis.
• Assist with developing the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
• Provide support for internal and external audits, as necessary.
• Collaborate with LandCare team members on projects to support organizational goals.
• Compliance with internal control processes and adherence to policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

Education:     

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.

Experience:   

• 3-6 years of experience in an accounting/finance role; CPA strongly preferred.

Knowledge:   

• Understanding of GAAP accounting and accounting operations; strong technical skills including Excel and experience with ERP and other financial reporting systems; fixed asset and lease accounting knowledge preferred.

• Strong financial analytic skills with ability to analyze and interpret financial results to identify issues or trends and recommend corrective actions, as needed.
