Title: Senior Buyer
Location: Columbus, OH
Salary: $55,000 - 70,000 + bonus

What You’ll Be Doing:

Sourcing and researching new suppliers
- Prepare inventory reports, analyze inventory levels for replenishment
- Manage vendor relationships
- Negotiate and set up contracts with new vendors

Reconcile backorders with the manufacturers.

Acquire all product specifications either from the manufacturer or through product review.

Update and enter product information in the computer system. Research product discrepancies and update the Buyers.
- Building 3 month rolling forecast for inventory planning

Enter spiffs and promotions in the system for tracking purposes and prepare documentation for vendor reimbursement.

Work with the marketing department to ensure product information/spreadsheets for printed media and online events are compiled in a timely manner and prices are updated in our system. Attend trade shows, visit manufacturer facilities, and attend company shows as required.
What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related major.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and analytical ability.

Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with co-workers and vendors.

Proficiency in Word and Excel, which requires a detailed understanding of Excel spreadsheets.
