Salary: up to $130,000 total compensation (base + bonus)

The Director of Content will bring our brand to life, and work to elevate and improve the performance of our marketing assets across all our channels. You are a hands-on team leader who will build and mentor a small in-house team of creative professionals to deliver creative assets that support all marketing efforts. As a key member of the marketing team, you will serve as an evangelist for our brand identity and voice, ensuring that creative across our company works to represent our brand in a unified and effective way. This position has strong written and art direction skills and can turn creative into actionable results moving the needle on sales and engagement. You'll also be expected to use data to drive decisions and continually refine our content approach.
 
What  You’ll Be Doing:
 
  • Drive the strategy & development of 360 marketing campaigns across all media types that drive brand awareness, traffic, and sales growth while maintaining the brand integrity of multiple brands.
  • Creates and implements a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the company’s brand and business objectives.
  • Leads, and motivates a team of creative professionals, including writers, designers, and multimedia specialists.
  • Develops and communicates creative direction and standards, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and business goals.
  • Oversees the creation of engaging and high-quality content across multiple platforms, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify content needs and opportunities for various channels and audiences.
  • Provides creative direction and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the team delivers innovative and impactful designs that meet client expectations.
  • Ensures that marketing content reflects the brand's voice and values while meeting the needs of diverse audiences.
  • Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of content strategies.
  • Regularly analyzes and reports on the performance of content initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Consumer-driven product marketing, able to turn technical features into consumer benefits that drive demand.
  • Lead, motivate and grow the Creative team, maintaining a positive culture and consistent creative quality through critiques and constructive feedback.
  • Oversee the communications portion of new product launches: sales collateral, campaigns, promotional videos, customer emails.
  • Lead and manage agency relationships where appropriate.
  • Ensure creative/brand guidelines are established and adhered to.
     
What We’re Looking For:
 
 
 
  • 8+ years in a creative position, with a preference for those with 4+ years of experience managing design professionals. (Experience in the consumer electronics industry is a plus.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, or related field.
     
  • Firm understanding of brand storytelling and 360 campaign building.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent brand identity through multi-channel marketing efforts.
  • Strategic planner and organized leader who can utilize analytics tools to identify opportunities and create plans to improve brand profits across multiple customer types.
  • Strong marketing background with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing skills, copywriter background preferred.
  • Work with a cross-functional team of sales and product to execute on a multi-channel go-to-market plan.
  • Able to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Desirable: Experience in a similar industry or with similar products.
