Title:  Electrical Engineer

Location:  Point Marion, PA

Pay:  $110,000-$124,000 – Straight time overtime – 12% Bonus – Relocation Assistance –  Matching 401k AND Pension

Schedule:  5x8s or 4x10s during the week – flexible in/out time

Our client is a premier industrial company based out of Pennsylvania looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their plant.  This facility has received investment to continue to run into the 2040’s and has a team of 15+ dedicated Engineers from different disciplines encompassing the department.  This position will get to work hands on in the field with different types of projects with a focus on low, medium, and high voltage switchgear, transformers, breakers, control voltages, instrumentation, motors, and power distribution. 

Job Description:

  • The primary role for the Electrical Engineers is to support design, develop, test, and supervise the electrical components, including electric motors, machinery controls, lighting and wiring, generators, communications systems, and electricity transmission systems.
  • This position is responsible for developing and implementing systems that use electricity to control turbine systems or signal processes.
  • Design new ways to use electrical power to develop or improve products such as electronic components, software, products, and systems
  • Analyze electrical system requirements, capacity, cost, and project needs and then develop a system plan.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
  • Direct manufacturing, installing, and testing to ensure that the product as built meets specifications and codes.
  • Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment.
  • Inspect electronic equipment, instruments, and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations.
  • Evaluate systems and recommend repair or design modifications.
  • Work with project managers on production efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
  • Plan and develop applications and modifications for electronic properties used in parts and systems to improve technical performance.
  • The Electrical Engineers has to apply knowledge learned in school to new tasks in every project they undertake. In addition, continuing education is important for them so that they can keep up with changes in technology.
  • Work closely with other engineers and technicians.
