RCS Corporation has an immediate need for an Environmental Services Business Development and Capture Manager. This is a Full-time, Permanent position, located remotely, with our client.
Overview of YOUR role as an Environmental Services Business Development and Capture Manager Develop strategies that position the company for success. Lead business development and capture efforts in the environmental services marketplace (both commercial and federal). Lead the development of customer or market penetration strategies, sales management, prospecting for new clients, individual opportunity win strategies, account plans, technology development plans, and partnering strategies to help grow organization. May lead teams to develop and deliver various services solutions to include whitepapers, demonstrations, proposals, and other internally developed products used to identify, qualify, and capture new business. Participate in or lead the end-to-end process for delivering complex and/or multiple proposals ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely submission. Establish and proactively maintain strong professional relationships with key decision makers and influencers within environmental markets.
As an Environmental Services Business Development and Capture Manager,YOU will:
Identifying opportunities in target markets for your organization’s products and services
Generating leads through calling prospective clients, small business program offices, contracting offices, or networking at trade shows
Gathering and analyzing market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends
Conducting research to identify new markets and customer needs
Developing and nurturing relationships with key customers
Keeping up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of corporate competitors
Assessing client needs and the company’s ability to meet those needs
Following up with new leads and referrals generated from the sales team
Developing and delivering business presentations to potential clients
Utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) software (Salesforce) to manage and support customer relationships
Collaborating with business development leadership team in an ongoing effort to increase opportunities based on lessons learned and best practices
Assessing potential revenue and profit (ROI) against the probability of win (Pwin) to ensure pursuits are viable
Maintaining a clear understanding of current service capabilities, past performance, and value statements that can be incorporated into proposals
Managing and delivering multiple large-scale assignments simultaneously and independently
Contributing to the internal proposal process to develop proposals, including obtaining key information from a variety of departments including executive, legal, compliance, and finance
Ensuring that task assignments, schedule, strategy, pricing, section authoring, reviews and production are on track for on-time submission
Coordinating the RFP responses to include strategy, approach, and deliverables with the bid/capture team
Leading the internal capture planning for each opportunity identified as a pursuit. This includes all pre-marketing activities, including intelligence gathering; developing a SWOT profile; identifying stakeholders; performing a competitor analysis; conducting client research; attending pre-bid meetings (if requested); identifying primes and sub consultants and forming teaming arrangements; and performing market research such as web searches and data compilation
Understanding and communicating government policies and regulations, operational mission, and goals for assigned projects
YOU are the ideal Environmental Services Business Development and Capture Manager candidate if you have:
Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 4 to 6 years of experience, or a master’s and 2 to 4 years of experience
Knowledge of environmental work and environmental technologies
Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role in an environmental engineering or environmental services capacity
Proficiency in GovWin, SAM, USASpending, etc.
Environmental compliance experience
Small business contracting sales experience (preferably 8(a))
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
Federal and commercial market knowledge
Experience with Shipley Proposal Management process preferred
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a public trust clearance or higher
U.S. citizenship required
It’s a BONUS if you have:
Existing environmental industry client contacts
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Prior knowledge or experience working with a Native American Tribe
Travel Requirements:
Some travel may be required, up to 30% of the time. The travel may be local or national and may be by car, rail, or air.
