Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join their team as the Schematic and Environmental Lead. In this pivotal role, you will take the lead in orchestrating the successful execution of complex Schematic and Environmental Projects, driving innovation, and fostering client relationships. Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Lead and inspire large project teams to market, win, and deliver intricate Schematic and Environmental Projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of quality and within established timelines.
Financial Management: Manage project metrics, including profit, net revenue, staff utilization, and accounts payable, to optimize project profitability and financial performance.
Client Engagement: Cultivate and strengthen client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and ensuring client satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical and engineering support, including technical proposals, contract design, and cost estimates, contributing to the technical excellence of projects.
Environmental Coordination: Coordinate design and environmental tasks to obtain project approvals and environmental clearance, emphasizing sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions.
Team Development: Take responsibility for the performance of project staff, actively mentoring and developing team members to foster growth and excellence.
Talent Acquisition: Actively participate in sourcing, attracting, and selecting talent to build a high-performing and diverse project team.
Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the projects and organization.
 
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas or the ability to acquire the same within 3 months.
15 or more years of progressive experience performing engineering duties similar to those listed above with 4 of those years managing projects. Experience with project management, schematic design, and coordination of environmental and public involvement tasks.
Successful completion of background and driver's record checks.


Desired Qualifications:
TxDOT pre-certification in applicable categories, showcasing expertise in working with the Texas Department of Transportation.
