Length of Assignment:  6 to 9 months
Hourly Rate:  $55.00 - $60.00


Emerging Technologies Manager will be responsible for exploring, evaluating and help implementing cutting-edge technologies that have the potential to enhance or add value to the organization. This role involves staying abreast of industry trends, conducting in-depth research, and providing strategic insights to guide technology decisions and business process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology research, a passion for innovation, and the ability to translate technical information into actionable recommendations. This role promotes a culture of innovation within the organization and help develop and implement a comprehensive innovation strategy that aligns with the company’s overall IT and business objectives.

1. Research and Analysis:
Stay informed about relevant new technologies and trends related to core and supplementary business operations. Perform detailed research on emerging technologies, assess their functionalities, applications, and potential impact on the organization. Evaluate the market viability and adoption trends of emerging technologies and analyze competitors and industry leaders in adopting similar technologies.
 
2. Value proposition and Strategic recommendations:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and challenges, assess the potential value and benefits that each emerging technology could bring to the organization. Provide strategic recommendations based on research findings, highlighting potential areas for innovation and competitive advantage and offer insights on integrating emerging technologies into daily operations.
 
3. Develop Solutions and support pilots:
Initiate pilot programs to test new technologies and new applications of existing technologies, demonstrating their potential advantages and value. Create and contribute to the development of inventive solutions that are consistent with the organization's objectives. Partner with IT operations, IT services and business units to facilitate the implementation of these innovative solutions, track and measure the results of these pilot projects.
 
4. Communication and Foster Innovation:
Produce clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate research findings, technology roadmaps, and strategic recommendations to various levels of the organization. Develop and maintain new channels to inform stakeholders on latest technological advancements and take a proactive role in providing learning resources on new technologies to foster a culture of continuous learning.
 
5. Collaboration and Industry engagement:
Work closely with IT departments, Information security, and business units, ensuring that new technology projects are in line with the company's objectives and compliance practices and help speed up those project rollouts. Establish and nurture partnerships with tech vendors, emerging tech companies, and specialists in the field. Participate in conferences, online seminars, and other industry gatherings to remain engaged with the wider technology community.









Degree:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Master's Degree Preferred.
The minimum number of years of job related experience required by this job is:
  • 8-10 years.
List any specialized training or unique skills required:
  • Proven experience in technology research, market analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, emerging technologies, and their application in business.
  • Strong knowledge of a programming language (Python preferred)
  • Strong familiarity with web application development and cloud technologies, such as Azure.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of downstream refining processes and experience in supporting operations is a plus.
  • Ability to translate technical details into business value propositions.
  • Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
