This individual is responsible for directing the strategic planning, development, enhancement and approval of the company loyalty programs, program development, budgets, special projects and various reports to support Light Oils Marketing.  Responsible for growth of company’s brand position through planning, development, implementation and management of strategic and competitive loyalty programs designed to build the brand, enhance the brand and protect the brand while securing new marketers/retailers and adding/retaining retail outlets.  Executes decisions regarding introduction of loyalty initiatives and the inclusion in company’s marketing programs.  Manages the activities of the Loyalty Programs department. Plans and directs work, provides training, develops and controls expense budgets, facilitates interaction with various internal work groups, external vendors and branded marketers, establishes goals and objectives and sets performance criteria.

1. Direct the development of best in class marketing programs and service offerings through utilization of market intelligence and other information sources. Direct and advise on the selection of vendors and strategic partners and oversee negotiations to ensure optimal terms/services for company and its marketers.
 
2. Develop, enhance and approve company consumer engagement activities.
  • Overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the brand’s multifaceted lifecycle marketing strategy across consumer engagement, creative, mobile design and CRM operations.
  • Develop customer segmentation, targeting and contact strategies to maximize performance of key subscriber segments.
  • Formulate and initiate marketing programs to encourage more usage, enhance brand value and ultimately drive retention/addition of retail outlets.
  • Engage and analyze mobile app solutions developed by the company to make recommendations to improve the customer experience and increase activity rates.
3. Perform specialized management functions and promote acceptance of and compliance with innovative loyalty programs.
  • Analyze pertinent aspects of competitive marketing programs to ensure company offerings and features maintain company and industry leadership position in this field.
  • Constantly analyze, re-evaluate and adjust company loyalty programs to retain superiority and obtain maximum marketer acceptance.
  • Set objective goals and proactively measure and communicate results to the wider organization and customers.
  • Present department programs to management and executives for approval as required.
  • Plan programs in advance for announcement at Marketer Meetings.
4. Manage and control Loyalty Programs department budget.
  • Analyze budgetary requirements and recommend budget level for future years.
  • Allocate final budget to projects and programs based on Brand Equity Department objectives.
  • Review and analyze budget on a monthly basis to determine status and institute controls if required.
  • Insure that department sections are utilizing funds properly for maximum financial return to company at lowest expense.
5. Responsible for coordinating and ensuring that arrangements are made to set up and evaluate key service vendors.
  • Support Procurement in the planning and execution of major loyalty platform sourcing contracts.
  • Instill in staff, other employees and vendors the resolve to operate as partners in providing programs and services.
  • Interface with principals of single source and major vendors to insure quality service.
  • Analyze performance of third parties and recommend long term vendor identification.
Degree: 
  • College Degree (Bachelors Level) in Business, Marketing or related field.
The minimum number of years of job related experience required by this job is:
  • 15 years in marketing/retail loyalty experience.
List any specialized training or unique skills required:
  • Must be able to handle multiple conflicting priorities on a daily basis.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
