Accounting Manager

SUMMARY:
Lead daily operations of accounting team, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. The ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations is essential for this role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:		% OF TIME
Drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing & reporting processes, prepare accounting JE, verify accuracy and transfer of accounts to G/L, ensure deadlines are met and compliant with GAAP/IFRS		40
Reconcile G/L assigned accounts, reconcile inter-company accounts, Prepare bank reconciliations for multiple banks		20
Maintain and implement internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation		10
Provide audit support for both internal and external audits		15
Prepares special purpose reports for HQ and governmental purposes and projects as assigned		15

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide quality and safety program which includes following all safety policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned

3 direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, Advanced credentials such as MBA and/or CPA preferred
3-5 years of directly related experience (in consolidations and multi-entity accounting), proven work experience of similar role preferred
Work experience in manufacturing with POC and job costing environment strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook
ERP accounting system experience required; SAP preferred
Knowledge of current GAAP/IFRS requirements and rulings
Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet required accounting deadlines.
Public Accounting experience preferred
Foreign currency exchange experience preferred
