Associate Designer

Title: Associate Women's Designer (Contemporary)

Brand is focused on elevated classics : Woven, Knit , full categories.
The Role + Purpose:
* Work closely with the Design Director to create concepts, and develop fabrics, prints, trim, and embroidery.
* Assists in research of seasonal trends, themes, colors, raw materials, styling, and trims.
* Design into the different categories: tops, bottoms, sweaters, dresses, jackets.
* Ability to spec and create tech packs for vendors overseas.
* Gather BOM's + trim + sample info to pass on to production.
* Keep track of samples.
* Ensure projects adhere to the design calendar deadlines
* Communicate with factories overseas
Experience:
- 3-5 years experience as Assistant / Associate Designer
- Proficient in using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Proficient in using excel.
- Excellent artistic and creative skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- High-end taste level.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design
- MUST HAVE Portfolio showcasing previous fashion design work
- Strong understanding of garment construction and fabric properties
- Knowledge of industry trends
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask
- Strong written and communication skills
