Job Title: Designer       



Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and creative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic design team in NYC to help bring forward thinking performance and lifestyle apparel to life for some of the world's leading brands.
You will have exposure to cutting edge apparel construction and print technology working in a space that is constantly evolving.
As an associate designer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the fashion design process, from conceptualization to garment development. Your passion for fashion, attention to detail, and willingness to learn will contribute to the successful creation of innovative and customer centric collections.
Responsibilities:
Develop and translate design concepts into sketches, mood boards, and digital presentations.
Conduct research on fashion trends, fabric options, and color palettes to contribute fresh ideas to the design process.
Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and refine new concepts that align with brand identity and target audience preferences.
Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for garments, including measurements, construction details, and material requirements.
Assist in selecting and sourcing fabrics, trims, and other materials.
Participate in fittings and sample reviews and can sit in on customer meetings.
Prepare and organize materials for presentations and customer meetings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product development to ensure smooth execution of designs.
Aid in maintaining design archives, including organizing physical samples and digital files for easy reference.
Aid in fabric library upkeep and general office admin. including shipping of samples and other tasks.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to contribute to the design team's market awareness.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design
5 years’ experience in the fashion industry
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop, working knowledge of 3D software such as Browzwear or Clo 
Strong sketching and illustration skills, with an ability to visually communicate design ideas effectively.
Knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, and sewing techniques.
Understanding of fabric types, textures, and material properties.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in technical specifications and measurements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Passion for fashion, with an eagerness to stay updated with the latest trends and industry developments.
Flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
