Sourcing Assistant

Growing midtown Company looking for Sourcing Assistant for Soft Accessories.  1-3 years experience. Mandarin or Cantonese speaking preferred.  
Job Responsibilities:

• Reach out to factories and get best pricing for samples and shipping in order to turn over to production.
• Request and track all samples to ensure receipt prior to catalogue meetings and the full production week.
• Review and confirm all samples from suppliers, along with evaluating any required improvements or changes.
• Review new products upon arrival and resolve and follow up on product quality-related issues.
• Communicate with suppliers daily to further progress and optimize the production and delivery process.
• Work effectively within cross-functional teams, sharing critical information with everyone involved in a project.
• Learn, understand, and carefully follow detailed documented work procedures.
• Ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry.
• Anticipate potential future problems and opportunities, remaining at-the-ready for a number of different outcomes.

Ideal Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• 1-3 years' experience in strategic sourcing.
• Bilingual Mandarin/Cantonese speaking
