Chief Architect – Remote - £100k
This market leading business continues to grow, even through the pandemic. As they reach the next phase in their growth, they are looking for a Chief Architect to provide technical leadership for development, applications, cloud and databases, coupled with providing expert guidance to commercial teams and clients. This is a rapidly expanding technology focused business where you will be able to make a significant impact on shaping their future.
You’ll be leading the design and build of the platform. The initial plan is to design a microservice architecture on AWS, so experience in building a large-scale platform on AWS would be hugely beneficial.
You’ll be working with the senior leadership team, coming up with proof of concepts and prototypes and you’ll work with the development leads to implement your ideas. You’ll not only be an outstanding architect from a software background, who has experience re-platforming complex SaaS platforms.
The Chief Architect will have strategic and design experience of applications, cloud, software, proof of concepts, configuration, CI/CD and technology decision making.
Chief Architect Responsibilities
· Definition, product selection, solution design and planning of multiple technical projects
· Selection of programming languages, technology stacks and the future of technology
· Engage directly with clients to help them make the right decisions and help them implement the best solutions
· Pro-actively define new measures to meet business needs, improve efficient, and improve agility
· Attending and leading project board level meetings
· Proof of concepts for new technology initiatives
· Justify use of technology, business usage and benefits
· Application and product integration
Technical and Leadership Experience
· 5 years in a Lead/Chief Architect position
· Experience of B2B web applications within a cloud platform stack
· Experience in implementing product and API Management
· Experience of AWS / DevOps environments
· Mobile development and integration
· Clear & secure understanding of agile development methods
