Our client is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their expanding design team and reside in the Dayton, OH area to support current and future projects locally. You will participate in the engineering of various building structures incorporating the design of steel, concrete, timber and masonry. Daily tasks include structural modeling and analysis, connection detailing, project management, and construction administration. Position is REMOTE work, looking for candidate in Dayton Area to attend to & be available to Clients!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare contract drawings and specifications
- Perform structural calculations, modeling and analysis
- Estimate construction costs
- Review drawings and erection procedures
- Maintain project records
- Manage other project management related tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in structural, civil, or architectural engineering (focus on structural engineering); Master's degree with an emphasis in structural engineering is a plus.
- 3-6 years of experience in building related structural design and project management
- REVIT and AutoCAD proficiency
- Working knowledge of the IBC Codes
- Must be willing to travel occasionally to Corporate office in northern Indiana
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team and exercise independent initiative
