Head of Treasury Services

Are you experienced in treasury and looking for a new opportunity as Head of Treasury Services in the South Bend, IN area? 

Responsible for providing a strategic direction and leadership to pursue Treasury Management and corporate objectives. Develops a "Sense of Urgency" throughout the department. Assesses and evaluates current and future personnel needs. Evaluates current policies and procedures and makes necessary improvements to streamline business. Develops business strategies and sales objectives and metrics to measure success. Assesses current technologies and develops roadmap for future investment.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Creates and implements controls, structure, best practices and a "service oriented" culture throughout the Treasury Management.
  • Responsible for managing the ongoing Sales relationship, certain business deposit and treasury services products, and other ongoing client services and administration.
  • Drives and manages the delivery of client treasury services needs to ensure departmental targets and goals are achieved by working in a collaborative manner with Value Stream Team members.
  • Responsible for achieving budgeted product sales & revenue targets for business treasury products & services.
  • Develops short and long-term business plan for Treasury Management Operation.
  • Researches and defines strategic opportunities in Treasury Management.
  • Develops and executes process improvement strategies.
  • Establishes appropriate policies and procedures for operational excellence.
  • Participates in overall corporate planning bringing current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems as it relates to Treasury Management.
  • Manages the Treasury Management Sales and Marketing Team.
  • Develops marketing strategies and sales objectives.
  • Maintains and develops new business with Bank's correspondent banks and other area businesses.
  • Works with Municipal Deposits and responds to Public Fund Proposals.
  • Analyzes financial reports.
  • Identifies ways to enhance Treasury Management business performance through product portfolio optimization, pricing innovation and high impact marketing initiatives.
  • Works with business lines and sales leaders to identify opportunities for improving penetration and retention of Treasury Management products.
  • Directs, manages, coaches and counsels department staff to ensure achievement of assigned goals; responsible for staffing, hiring, retention, performance appraisals, developmental coaching and evaluation, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.

  • Reviews and approves contracts with outside vendors and service providers.
  • Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
  • Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Fifteen (15) + years of banking experience, preferably in large community or regional institutions years of management/executive experience.
  • Involvement with NACHA and or other ACH organizations.
  • Prior experience managing the entire spectrum of Treasury Management operations.
  • Must be an excellent communicator.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Team player and team builder.
  • Ability to sell.
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred. MBA and or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification preferred.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
