Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager
In this position, you will develop, manage, monitor, and maintain the Company's Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the environmental activities of all facilities to ensure compliance.
- Provide technical support and ensure proper monitoring and accurate completion of required reporting and notification to local, state, and federal authorities.
- Prepares permit documents and interacts with regulatory and environmental officials.
- Responsible for developing/executing corporate-wide safety/workers comp strategies.
- Provide consulting services, audits, site evaluations, and participate in investigations at plants/facilities.
- Participates in the acquisition process as requested.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree: at least five years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Qualified or working towards OSHA Certification or a Member of IOSH desired.
- Experience managing HSE in a waste management/collection environment would be an advantage.
- Management of the EPA Duty of Care Code of Practice.
- Must have strong workers comp knowledge.
- Knowledge and experience utilizing behavioral-based safety programs.
- Travel required up to 50%
