Asset Integrity Reliability Engineer

Are you an experienced engineer looking for a new opportunity in Orange Texas?

As an Asset Integrity Reliability Engineer, you will ensure product quality, proper maintenance, reliability and the integrity of plant equipment. This role is designed to comprehensively provide subject matter expertise for mechanical maintenance, design and inspection.

 

Duties:

  • Coordinate with the plant maintenance and capital groups/units to ensure all equipment installations maintain compliance with assigned regulatory requirements as well as engineering specifications and standards.
  • Review, update and establish preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliability through periodic or condition-based checks. Examples rotating equipment, pressure safety valves, rupture disks, exchangers, finishing equipment, and vessels.
  • Lead incident investigations regarding mechanical equipment failures, activation of pressure safety devices, and failures resulting in loss of containment.
  • Perform critical job observations in order to help reduce injuries and equipment damage.
  • Develop CIP Projects and Capital Projects to improve unit operations, reliability, HES, and quality.
  • Provide support to maintenance for troubleshooting complicated or time sensitive equipment failures and develop solutions for improvement.
  • Direct maintenance and operations regarding changes in mechanical components and operation of critical equipment such as agitators and dewatering machines.
  • Provide Asset Integrity and Reliability data to unit engineers and take part in developing and updating Lifetime Extension plans for all units by analyzing Asset Integrity and Critical Equipment data to develop 5-10 year budget forecasts of Capital Requirements for necessary equipment replacement/upgrades.
  • Provide engineering expertise for maintaining all rotating equipment including pumps, conveyors, agitators, expellers, Krupps and motors

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in a Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing facility with knowledge of plant maintenance and project engineering
  • Strong project management experience
  • Certifications required but may be obtained through an agreed upon timeframe: API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector, API 570 Piping Inspector, API 653 Above Ground Storage Tank Inspector, API 580 Risk Based Inspection and CMRP Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional.
  • Skilled in Office products and SAP software functions
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work and be able to adapt and adjust to changing circumstances and responsibilities.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and with all locations within Global organization
  • Must possess good communication skills and ability to give direction to those outside of the company
