Maintenance Technician*

Are you a seasoned trades professional looking for a Maintenance Technician position?

The maintenance technician will perform corrective and preventive maintenance, repair production and facility equipment, and use mechanical skills, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC. 

 

Required Skills and Responsibilities

 

Must have the expertise of a seasoned trades professional with competent, sound decision-making ability, often working with minimal supervision. 

 

 • Must be proficient using a variety of hand and power tools including, but not limited to, drills, saws, brakes, presses, ironworker, welding equipment, cutting torch, plasma cutter, and digital volt meters. 

• Responsible for effectively working on single-phase and three-phase AC-powered systems up to 480V and DC power systems up to 180V.

 • Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing motors and motor control systems in a timely and effective manner related to all production and facility equipment. 

• Responsible to be familiar with man-lifting equipment, such as scissor lifts, forklifts, man-lift baskets, and boom-style lifts 

• Responsible for planning projects, scheduling maintenance tasks, and meeting with vendors as necessary. 

• Responsible to perform preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance and cleaning, as necessary.

 • Responsible for completing the appropriate paperwork and utilizing the software to enter and retrieve operational data, as necessary.

• Knowledgeable in all 10 Maintenance Skill Elements, which include HVAC, steam operation, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, machinery repair, cutting/welding, tool-die repair, drafting, and programmable logic controls (PLCs).

 • Ability to create parts drawings in AutoCAD or other software platforms. 

• Must be prompt and efficient on the job and maintain a positive work ethic and related behaviors.

 • Must be flexible in working hours, adjusting work schedules to meet company needs.

 

 Education and Experience:

 Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred or 5 years of equivalent experience in a production or facility maintenance position.
