Plastic Injection Mold Maker/Mold Repair

Are you an experienced Plastic Injection Mold Maker with excellent diagnostic & problem solving skills looking for a great company in the Cincinnati area!
 

In this position you will modify and repair molds, jigs and fixtures where accuracy requires maintenance of extremely close tolerances. It includes building new mold items when necessary, diagnosing problems and determining corrective actions on injection molds.

 

Responsibilities:

• Operate manual machine shop equipment.
• Mold preventative maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, polishing).
• Operate hand tools, skills for basic machine-shop equipment (grinder, mill, lathe, micrometer, caliper, etc.)
• Run wire, hot runners, hot sprues, thermocouples in addition to replace hot runner components
• Wire limit switches
• Oversee CAD (Solid Works) & program CNC and / or EDM 
• Ability to program CNC (CAMWORKS)

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years working experience in a plastics injection molding manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents, drawings
• Mechanically inclined, demonstrates sound mechanical reasoning, knowledge of mold function
• Ability to work methodically and meticulously during repairs on molds.
• Maintains safe working conditions in all areas of the operations insuring compliance with all federal, state, and local legislation.
• Measure and calculate basic (static) tooling stack-ups to determine component preloads and clearances or verify print dimensions.
   

This is a direct hire opportunity with great pay and benefits!
Location:  Amelia, OH
Compensation:  $28-40 hourly
