Due to internal promotion and company growth, The Lucas Group is working closely with our valued client Olam Food Ingredients (ofi) to find their next experienced (or up-and-coming) Orchard Manager to lead their pristine 1,379ha Wandown Orchard operation.

Your Role Play a crucial role in the ofi Sunraysia team, you will:
Plan, schedule, and monitor all orchard activities such as production cycles, inputs, staff requirements, and assets/infrastructure.
Lead the orchard team, ensuring performance is maintained within strict safety protocols and in line with strategic plans.
Liaise with external stakeholders such as customers, contractors, and suppliers to allow for timely delivery and cost-effective orchard performance.
Regularly report to the Orchard Operations Manager on key orchard activities.

Strong leadership skills and proficiency in budgeting and expense tracking.
A strong understanding of tree crop orchards and a passion for horticulture.
Strong understanding in leading safety initiatives within a corporate entity.
A brilliant planner that can motivate both experienced and junior staff.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, combined with the ability to work autonomously.
Proficiency in utilising computer systems for managing tree and soil health, inputs, budgetry and reporting purposes.
