Records Management Specialist Job Description 

One of our most prestigous clients is in need of a Records Specialist for at least 6-9 months.

Must have digital records experience

High School diploma, vocational office administration training, and the equivalent with at least one to two years of office experience, OR a minimum of two to three years of specialized experience that, provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Previous experience with confidential record keeping, working in a call center, FileNet, use of computer application, and human resources processing is beneficial.

• Knowledge of records management process and procedures
• Knowledge of scanning and imaging systems to retrieve retiree data and documents.
• Knowledge of tools required to perform Member Services functions, including:
o Photocopy machines; fax machines, image processors, and ancillary fulfillment equipment.
o Personal computers and Microsoft office products.
o Basic arithmetic, using a calculator or Excel.
o Cannon scanner processing and Kofax Capture data functions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Ability to clearly communicate information and ideas, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to have a high attention to detail when performing data entry, cataloging documents, validating data/files, etc.
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.
• Organization and coordination skills.

• Responsible for set-up and operation of equipment that supports prepping and scanning. This includes separating, categorizing, scanning, and performing quality review for all files, documents, and correspondence into Kofax/Filenet. Preparation includes receiving loose paper, sorting, identifying types of documents, pulling staples, removing paper clips, etc.
• Responsible for quality control of scanned documents.
• Opens and sorts mail, scans and keys in information into database for distribution.
• Conducts research in filing system, pulls files, etc.
