Temporary Visa/Passport Specialist

One of our most prestigious clients is in need of a temporary Visa/Passport Specialist to work onsite for one of their federal clients in downtown Washington D.C. ASAP. Ideal candidates will have federal Visa/Passport experience, have an active public trust or other related clearance, and be very customer service oriented.    
There is a possibility this position could become a temp to perm position.

The hours are likely between 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Our client is currently searching for a Visa/Passport Consultant to work onsite with our government client in downtown Washington, D.C. This includes providing a wide range of administrative duties essential to processing visa and official / diplomatic passport applications from initial receipt of application to delivery of the issued visa and passport to the customer. The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and must be able to obtain Agency Suitability clearance. 
 
Major Responsibility and Activities:

  • Under the supervision of the Manager ensure all initiatives are in place and proper protocols are being followed per guidelines.
  • Maintain and provide weekly and monthly reports of all passport and visa transactions and report to the proper advisor. Maintain a yearly database of transactions for the fiscal year.
  • Use creative problem solving skills with the ability to multitask effectively to provide support to meet departmental and fiscal goals.
  • Direct daily operations to accomplish goals under the supervision of the Manager.
  • Develop positive productive relationships with clients, colleagues and associates at all levels.
  • Prepare agency letters.
  • Submit request to the embassy or passport office in the proper format.
  • Coordinate and ensure delivery times, dates and special instructions on processing and also to include delivery and pick up.
  • Follow up on tracking of pick-up and delivery of all requests.
  • Follow up and resolve any issues within the office to ensure that the customer’s requests are completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and maintain productive relationships with the embassy and Special Issuance Agency on visa and passport requests to ensure that requests are being completed and sent back to the office in proper time for the customers travel dates. 
  • Communicate with Country Desk Representatives at the Department of State for assistance with visa or passport issues.
  • Sends all cancelled passports that are returned to the agency back to travelers whom are no longer with the agency and maintain proper documentation for our records.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Customer Service Experience required
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required
  • Experience in the travel industry is a plus
